On March 4, three days after the first coronavirus case was confirmed in Ireland, Brexit was still looming large in the mind of Lynn Temple, the chairman of Donegal-based Magee, one of a handful of Ireland's remaining clothing brands. The previous month, Magee's weaving team had been in Milan to present its spring/summer 2021 collection at a textile trade show, just as the first wave of Covid-19 was taking hold in Italy, where the death toll from the virus has since exceeded 7,500.
